Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth at Sugar Rush

Get ready to satisfy your sweet tooth and literally feel like a kid in a candy store!  December 5th and 6th, some of the best confectioners in the biz will converge upon the Orange County Fair and Event Center to showcase their wares at Big Bite Events Sugar Rush!  Described a "one-of-a kind dessert market experience packed with decadent and delicious sweet treats and shopping from dozens of the best pastry chefs and confectioners in Southern California," this event is sure to be an indulgent experience for even the most refined palates.

Some participating vendors include:
  • Nifty Candy (the newest sweets company from the creators of Jelly Belly Jelly Beans);
  • Viva Los Cupcakes Mexican food-inspired cupcake collection;
  • Unbaked uncooked edible cookie dough;
  • Sugar Spin gourmet cotton candy;
  • Paloma’s Palleta gourmet popsicles;
  • Sweets Indeed Candy Kabobs;
  • Treated’s custom S’mores.
  • And Dunkin’ Donuts will offer donuts and a coffee bar!

Some vendors will also feature baked goods infused with alcohol for the over 21 crowd as well as entertainment and crafts for kids.  See?  Something for everyone!  Those who are more hands on will enjoy dessert-making classes and demonstrations.  And since the first week of December is National Cookie Cutter week (I did not know this), Sugar Rush has invited 'professional pastry chefs' and 'amateur dessert artisans' to join the Sugar Rush Cookie Competition.  Entries will be displayed and made available to bid on in a silent auction with proceeds benefitting Share Our Selves.
General Admission tickets to Sugar Rush are $20 for adults, $10 for children ages 4-12 and are available now at www.SugarRushOC.com.  Feeling fancy?  VIP tickets (21+)  are $50 and include one-hour early admission, a VIP swag bag, chocolate and spirits pairing and access to the VIP Sugar Lounge. Sign me up for that!  (A portion of ticket sales will benefit Festival of Children)
