Time for an Upgrade!

I passed up both incarnations of the iPhone 5, unimpressed. The iPhone 6 is the first iPhone I've been genuinely excited about in a while. So much so that I've already sold my iphone 4S on Gazelle.com for $105. Better than nothing, right?

What I'm loving is the gorgeous design, larger screen and whopping 128GB of memory.  I stay maxed out on memory and an constantly forced to delete my favorite selfies and kidvids. Yes, I know about the cloud. No, I don't use it and won't be anytime soon. I also think the Apple Pay option is a cool feature since the payment tokens are for one time use. Hopefully this will reduce incidences of financial security breaches. I can't wait to try it!

While I'm super stoked, I'm perplexed by the move to wait in line for days or hours for a phone that can be pre-ordered online.  It's a bit ironic that those craving the latest tech don't take advantage of it when buying the tech itself.  Can someone shed som light on the subject?  Is it like the excitement of camping out for concert tickets at Tower Records back in the day?  Even still, I'll pass. 

That being said, I'll be up late tonight, albeit in the comfort of my bed, watching and waiting for that midnight drop (CST is what I'm hearing- correct me if I'm wrong). My credit card information stored in my trusty MacBook for expedited ordering. Coffee on my nightstand lest I succumb to the sandman's subtle attempts to sabotage my goal of attaining by coveted new toy. As of tonight, the iPhone 6 will be mine. Oh yes, it will be mine!
