Movie Review: Wreck It Ralph

My family and I have been eagerly awaiting the release of this movie ever since we saw the trailer during the previews before Brave.  Add to the excitement that it released one day before my birthday so it was a given that we would be heading to the theaters that weekend!

Leading up to the movie's release, we couldn't help but notice some of the Wreck It Ralph events going on around L.A. so we headed to Glendale to partake!  First we headed to the Americana where we had that opportunity to win some pretty sweet WIR prizes.  We scored t-shirts and iPhone cases!

Next we headed across the street to the Disney Store at the Glendale Galleria for a  Wreck It Ralph Game Jumping Adventure.  The kiddos got to complete several WIR-themed obstacle courses to earn their prize which was a game coin necklace like Ralph earns in the movie.

Speaking of the movie, on to the review...

The entire family loved this heart-warming story from start to finish.  No seat shifting here.  There was something for everyone.  The kids liked the characters unique personalities and my husband and I liked the nostalgic cameos by the likes of Q-Bert.  But what I really loved was the overall message of the movie that ultimately you are in control of your own destiny.  I really hope that sunk in with the kids.

On a scale of one to ten, Wreck it Ralph is easily a ten in my book.  I'll be adding to our DVD collection to watch again and again once it's available.
