It's been 4 days since my husband, Kenya, left for Basic Combat Training. So far I haven't pulled my hair out or run screaming into the streets like I thought I might. The kids and I have been keeping busy with our blogging, taking walks and whatnot. Anything to keep our minds off of missing him.
Yesterday we joined the YMCA! I figured since Kenya is sure to come back looking extra fit, I may as well get in shape too. I was once pretty active, but it's been months since I've set foot in a gym. Anyway, I go straight for the elliptical cross trainer (my chiropractor says that's best for my back) and after just 15 minutes there was no way you could have convinced me I wasn't dying. Can you say out-of-shape?? Well, I didn't die, and quite honestly, I never want to feel that way again. Starting Monday I will begin a regular exercise routine and stick to it- you all are my witnesses!

I wish we had a YMCA here...all we have is Curves and the hours just don't work for me...
