Universal's Big Announcement

On my way home last night I noticed a big, bright spotlight shining up into the sky from somewhere in the vicinity of our neighborhood.  When I picked my son up he asked me what it was for.  I wasn't sure but I was pretty curious myself!  I asked around but no one I talked to seemed to know.  Later that night, scrolling through my Instagram feed I learned that the spotlight was coming from Universal Studios, just over the hill and they had a big announcement to make on Tuesday (today).  The suspense! 

I got an email from Universal Studios this morning (ok, every subscriber did but still) announcing the grand opening date of the highly anticipated Wizarding World of Harry Potter on April 7th!  So exciting!  The big day is just months away and I'm dying to explore the wizardly new expanded section of the park. My understanding is that it's not as big as the one in Florida, but I have not been so I have nothing to compare it to. 

I'm thrilled to have WWoHP right in my own backyard!  I've been watching the Hogwart's Castle structure grow since it broke ground and it is pretty impressive!  Once open, guests will get to peruse the shops of Hogsmeade, enjoy delicacies from straight out of the beloved book and film, and of course experience thrilling rides in this new and exciting attraction.
